Shatterstone?
Why doesn't anyone use this skill? It looks very good I have never used it before, but the description looks nice.

Whenever I run Water, I usually bring Shatterstone. In between it and Vapor Blade you're doing quite a bit of damage in a couple of casts. Unfortunately it seems that all my Water builds use a ton of energy.

It is really nice with vapor blade, but in PvE AoE is usually a better option than spiking out single targets. In PvP, the spike is a little too telegraphed to work well.

I used obsidian flame to spike out targets under call to torment, just so I could bring wards and sandstorm. Shatterstone is nice, but at that point it's affected pretty heavily by armor, and taking it means losing my precious wards and sandstorm, which is like asking a wammo to remove mending .

You can replace vapor blade by [skill]Freezing Gust[/skill] and res sig with a hard res.
Funfunfun.

That is a pretty nice combo, although elemental flame seems a tad underpowered. Works great to trigger steam though.

Yes, Shatterstone is crazily affected by armor. At 16 Water Magic, Shatterstone does 106 Cold Damage to a 60 AL target. While fighting Skree Harpies, I only dealt 24 damage to one of the Skree Raiders. This might've been under "Incoming!" but I really don't recall that it was. Anyways...that's less than 25% of listed damage...so I decided it wasn't worth it.

Hardly seems worth it. 15e and your elite slot for a single target 'spike' thats easily ruined by hex removal, enchantments of any kind and heavy armour. Why spec in that when you COULD run Glyph of Energy and make use of Maelstrom/Deep Freeze? Or Ward Against Harm? My Zhed's been making good use of Water Trident, even if its damage is negated horribly by armour you get side effects.

Its not ruined by hex removal, it actually triggers shatterstone (or did so).

I were just about to post that. Its a crazy build, use it in RA and pack freezing gust instead of aura of res and you have a brilliant asset for any team.
Oh, and try elem power instead of lesser energy for some instant kills

Personally, I'd rather run blinding surge, searing flames, sandstorm or other things.

Looks like a good build. It would probably be more useful in TA though, because of there almost always being a monk there. You could kill their monk over and over again because of the short recharge of the spike. It would also make a good 2(or 3) man spike.
